Marc
I import serbian version od EPUB and recieve OK mssg box but it is not ok.
When I open I do not have text box to eneter names but I can move forvard by weeks. Please see pictures for next 3 weeks in march
What to do?
@Ruben, If possible, first importing another language is MUCH easier to handle, than to enter everything from scratch. So yes, I would definitely suggest doing that. It can be any language you like. Make a BACKUP FIRST. Not because the process is faulty, but if you accidentally mess up in the schedule later, it is almost impossible to reset.
So import the other workbook, just like normal. Then in Settings to to Life and Ministry Meeting:, Schedule tab. At the same time it is probably best to open your own workbook on jw org (the online version), then replace the 'theme' and 'source' material by copy pasting. (much like in Feitosa's christmas picture...)
The Bible reading schedule goes into the top box, other entries into the bottom box.
Incidentally this is not the first time the epub lags. It happens accross languages. I don't think anybody still uses epub, except us...

Dear brothers, I need to make a schedule for March/April, but on jw.org there is no epub file workbook for 03/04 for Croatian language (only pdf and jwpub). It is interesting that exists for May/June!
(I adjust upper link for "de" to "hr")
https://www.jw.org/download/?issue=202303&output=html&pub=mwb&fileformat=PDF%2CEPUB%2CJWPUB%2CRTF%2CTXT%2CBRL%2CBES%2CDAISY&alllangs=0&langwritten=c&txtCMSLang=c&isBible=0
What to do? (One solution is import similar language (serbian, slovenian where epub exists).
Is this a good idea?
If I import that similar language, will I be able to put my own language later if the epub appears?
Please help?

Excelente, foi assim que eu fiz. Deu um pouco de trabalho, mas essa continua sendo a melhor opção.
Baixar em português de portugal também é um jeito. É quase igual e economiza tempo...
This is a lead.
Currently, we do not have an affirmative answer to give. Except that there are legal aspects to which we must submit, like:
and especially the section "You may not:" ;)
As a statement that is absolutely true. As an argument in this discussion, it doesn't make much sense to me: the 'legal aspects' are not restricted to the jwpub files. If you cannot use the jwpub files for legal reasons, then you cannot use the epub either for the very same, no?
Whatever the case, this whole discussion may be useless if jwpub turns out to be a closed format and unreadable. I guess there is a huge chance this is the case.
The previous hint that it is sql-related: I am not so sure. I say this, because depending on the way I try to read the jwpub file (change file extension, try to unzip etc), I may get an html without that sql-tag.
For now Feitosa's 'christmas tree' ;-) is the best option. Over time we may have to enter the schedule manually. Just hoping that will work. In the past there have been times just touching that feature would wreak havoc :-(

(…)But recent versions of the .jwpub files are using SQLite and compressing in a .jwpub format.
Would it be possible to migrate the imports to jwpub?

Post, Distribute, Reproduce, duplicate, copy, Create for distribution purposes.
none of this will be done.
In fact if it is possible to change the import to jwpub it doesn't change much what is being done with epub currently.

I believe that in the future in some locations the use of .epub will become less and less.
I don't understand much about SQLite.

Honestly I have long been wondering why the epubs are still around, since in my personal view they have lost most of their use since we all started using the app long ago. From that point of view a discontinuation of the epub shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.
So, you call 'a Bethel brother' for help with unsupported programme, and not only does he give info, he even gives info that is not or not yet in a letter. Right, as long as you allow me to have some reservations with that tale.
Fact for now is that the Jan/Feb workbook is available as epub in many languages: I stopped after trying13, both European and non-European, and only one didn't have the epub.
Fact also is that epubs have sometimes appeared very much later than other formats. Up to a week or two before the month actually started. Which is pretty useless for TB-users.
In such instances, or when a particular workbook fails, or when a particular language is simply not supported, the standard advice has been: import a workbook of your choice that does import correctly, then in the Schedule tab of the LMM Meeting menu item, replace the imported items with the proper ones. Copy them from the jw org site is th easiest. This procedure gives the least mistakes.
In fact, the function of entering the schedule into TB manually, especially from scratch, has been extremely unstable past, and impossible under some versions. It has been working well for the last 2 years or so. If manual entry is the way to go, a way must be found for that function to become extremly reliable.

This question comes up from time to time (search the forum).
But epubs are very often (a lot) later than the other formats. They will come. If they are in Dutch (and they are), they will most definitely also in Portuguese!
Hi.
Sorry Marc, but it seems really that our organization stop to diffuse epub format. This is the case for some language, as Portuguese, since 2023-01, and certainly in some futur for all others. One of our team member called to a Bethel brother who confirmed him this statement.
Actually, we write a new document to help to enter the schedule manually. For the moment, it's the only way — if I understand correctly — The Dev team search a new way to import the schedule…
Please, stay/be patient or do it manually.
Certainly, this new documentation will be released in the future version.
